Mikrogeophagus ramirezi is one of the most popular dwarf cichlids. These very colourful cichlids possess a broad range of yellows, blues, reds, and even pinks in their colouration. This peaceful fish can be kept with most small fish in a well planted aquarium.

The electric blue line has been line-bred to have the metallic blue colour present on regular rams spread over the entire body. These are subadults around 1 long without counting the tail.
