Certainly! Badam pods, also known as Jungle Pods, are fascinating seed pods from the Sterculia foetida tree, commonly referred to as the wild almond tree or java olive tree. Lets explore their characteristics and uses in both bioactive terrariums and aquariums:

1. Appearance and Texture:

   • Badam pods have an almost leathery appearance and texture.
   • They are rich brown in coloration and feature a thick, wood-like outer shell, which develops naturally during the drying-out process from exposure to sunlight.
   • Each pod is unique in terms of size, color, shape, and texture.

2. Bioactive Terrariums:

   • In a bioactive terrarium, Badam pods serve as hideouts or shelters for many amphibians or small geckos.
   • They also contribute to the naturalistic look of the terrarium.
   • Due to their characteristics, these pods can withstand natural decomposition even in a humid environment.

3. Aquariums:

   • In aquariums, Jungle Pods enhance the natural biotope and create additional hiding areas for small fish.
   • Preparation: To make the pod sink, boil it for an hour or more before adding it to the aquarium.

These versatile pods not only add aesthetic appeal but also serve practical purposes in creating a more natural and functional habitat for your aquatic friends.
