Visitors to the Battleship IOWA will be thrilled to bring home this delightful souvenir mug showcasing the legendary ship’s beloved mascot, Vicky! Vicky, affectionately named after Victory, made a grand entrance aboard the Battleship USS IOWA in 1943 under the care of Captain McCrea. This cherished feline companion had the honor of snoozing at the foot of President Franklin Roosevelt’s bed, mingling in the Captain’s Wardroom with esteemed military figures of World War II, voyaging over 205,000 nautical miles on the Battleship USS Iowa, and bidding a fond farewell with full military honors upon departing the vessel. The two-tone design boasts a lustrous cream glaze adorned with a gentle speckled pattern throughout. Its ergonomic handle and sturdy, stackable base make it a practical choice for daily use while adding a touch of nautical charm to any collection.
